Kristia Andreou 
Cypriot & Bulgarian painter

Born in 1994 on February 19th in Nicosia, Cyprus.
From 2008 up to 2010 was studying at the Cyprus Academy of Fine Arts, obtaining GCE Fine Art degree. During the year of 2012 was studying at the Bulgarian Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, improving her skills in academic painting. In the year of 2016  was obtained her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
In 2016 - 2018 was qualified holding a Masters of Fine Arts at the Frederick University in Nicosia, Cyprus on a program based on Contemporary Art Practices.

As an artist Kristia likes to experiment with materials and subjects. Her artworks take a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. Additionally, her work is inspired from fairytales, myths, history and the human figure. She is looking past the obvious, close observation and engagement of the subject is her process.
The challenge is to see beyond the distraction of the conspicuous to capture its unique self.
Artist's goal is to inspire those who see her work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in unusual places.
